Alphabet Fill Up The Blanks
Alphabet Fill Up The Blanks such as: [a b _ d _] can be used for multiple targeted reasons besides being a time filler activity when you know exactly what the child knows and what s\he still needs to practise.
- Are they forgetting the order of the letters?
- Are they writing mirrored letters?
- Are they forgetting a few letters?
- Is the "LMNOP" getting bungled because it is too fast to follow in the traditional ABCD song?
- Do you need them to practice writing a specific letter but can't get them to do it?
- Are they unable to see that print a and cursive a are one and the same?
- Have they been taught to name the letters using their sounds? Do you need them to know <a> by its name and not by its sound?
- Do you need them to transition to cursive, but find that the traditional handwriting exercises are not yielding cooperation?
and more.
When working with a child with needs such as the above, I need specific blanks that are usually not available on the worksheets on the Internet. So, I made 32 worksheets with as many options for blanks as possible so they're ready to use as soon as I need them.
These worksheets are available for uppercase print, lowercase print, and lowercase cursive (32 X 3 = 96). They work well with the traditional ABCD song and the confusion it creates especially with LMNOP.
If it's not too late, I do suggest that parents switch to the new ABCD song that is often unsettling for adults but is a great deal better for the child, especially if s\he has a learning difficulty or disability.
You'll get a total of 96 worksheets in 21 PDF files: 7 PDF files for uppercase print, 7 PDF files for lowercase print, and 7 PDF files for lowercase cursive.
